In 2013 I was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy, (DCM), (Heart failure), I guess I really had it a good while before I was diagnosed, as my health deteriorated from early 2012 and the weight piled on, peeking at 20 stone and 10 pounds (131.5 kg). To top it off I also had Type 2 diabetes as well.
Like everyone else I've tried many diets with very little effect, with any weight loss I achieved, tending to go straight back on when the diet finished. Classic YO-YO effect!
Recently I watched the Big Crash Diet on TV and was inspired by the results everyone achieved in such a short space of time, especially with the reversal of Type 2 Diabetes. I was so excited about the results and the effect it seemed to have on the people in the show, that very soon afterwards I was also well on the way to changing my own lifestyle as well..
I can also now report that like so many people on the Big Crash Diet, I too have reversed my Type 2 Diabetes.
'I am no longer a diabetic' which in itself is fantastic news!
Incredibly I actually lost 3 stones:- (42 pounds - 19.1 kg) - in just 9 weeks!
My current weight loss now stands at:- 5 Stones 4 pounds (That's a Whopping! - 74 pounds)
